Observatory ramblings
There could be countless instances of when I feel lost. And alone. When time just seems to slip out. When I end up hurting feelings of loved ones. Or drain myself by overcompensating, to a point of exhaustion. It is often every common person’s daily endevour- to plan the day right, to try and find a semblance of balance in the hectic workday.
Women are usually praised for managing to balance both work and home at the same time. And a family, and children, and their homework, and their extra- curricular activities. But it is important to know that even if women are not in a day job, they are still fully employed. Doing invisible tasks and chores; like the laundry, folding clean laundry, having the dishes in order, having the house look and feel like home. And they deserve all the respect. Our moms have given us their all truly. And almost never said ‘No’. When we were home sick, or craving our favourite food.
It is essential to know how to prioritize and make sense of the number of tasks I perform in a day. Only then will I know, when to say No. And how to say it, depending on the situation. Finding time to do what we love is important, lest we want to lose a sense of sanity. It could be as simple a task as gardening, or cooking. Time management is key to successful relationships, work life balance, and a steady growth of personality.
Rest days are always welcome. That is why there is Sunday. Where I can wake up a bit late. And eat at leisure. Maybe go watch a movie with family, or on a date with the hubby. It is actually the day to think about all the plans, make better ones, and do nothing. Sometimes, doing nothing at all can have a therapeutic effect on an overworked person. It brings back the magic and the awe in an ordinary day. It fills me with gratitude, on a new day. A fresh beginning; where everything is possible. A fresh start to smelling the roses, and watch the gleaming sun as it rises above the horizon. Giving me another chance.
Another chance to correct plans.
Another chance to improve relationships.
Another chance to focus on roles.
Another chance to fix stuff.
Another chance to be a better human being.
