A listicle.
- You are your own boss. You work by your own rules.
- You learn the art of time management.
- You learn to network. To build relationships with clients directly. The satisfaction is immense.
- You get to curl up in bed with your laptop and write.
- You explore new styles and genres. You get to find yourself.
- You don’t have to travel to and from work anymore.
- An added bonus if you have a furry baby. So many more hours of play with Mr. Fluffles. ❤
- You get variety- immense variety. In terms of subjects, genres and styles expected. This is really good considering the monotony of the average day job.
- You get to choose your workload.
- Homemade tea. Period.
- You finally have the time to devour those books you have been collecting. For research or even as leisure reading.
- You quote your own price. Once you are set with a client base, you earn well too. Steady building of experience helps you chart your own course.
- You get to be your creative best and grow intellectually.
- Work life balance is a reality. You get to be around the people you love and give time to relationships. That is a rare thing these days.
- You get the freedom, the choice to not be in the daily grind.
So worth it. :)
