The Six Friends you Make in your 20s

You are almost reaching your mid twenties. Five more years and you will be a thirty year old. (Grandma!) Make it stop! But there is no stopping time. Ever!

Here are the six friends you will make through your twenties -

1. The Energetic Mess : He will have the energy you wished you had. He will do shots at 1 am, but still beat you to class in the morning. He will have all his assignments done in a snap, while you struggle in a corner for hours with them. Snap!
2. The Slob : She will be extremely lazy and easy going. Give her Netflix and takeaway food; she might not even leave the room for days. She will sleep in the whole day and stay up at night binge watching movies and calling her boyfriend. She will irritate you to no end, but you will put up with her because she is your friend.
3. The Athletic One : You will always find her heading out for a run or hitting the gym. She will never share you passion for gorging on pizza. “Ceaser Salad please!”. She will tease you for not working out enough, and also motivate you to lead a healthier lifestyle. All the skinny jeans and minis will fit her amazingly. But her athleticism will never reduce.
4. The Work Friend : You became friends at work. You can talk to her about anything and it’s a treasured friendship. You never imagined you would find a friend at work. She is always down for the office gossip, but is also so sensible. You can count on her for advice — both personal and professional.
5. The Laugh Riot : He makes you laugh all the time. Some days you call him just so you have a few laughs. You bonded on the same sense of humor, and it stuck. You make jokes on similar situations and people and derive humor together. You couldn’t do without his sarcasm and jokes ever.
6. The One who Gets you : He is practically your soulmate. It’s completely platonic, and he just gets you. You share the same value systems as him. You help him find dates, and he supports your devotion for your crushes. People wonder if you are dating all the time and its weird. But at the end of the day, you both are down to text or talk for hours. You never have to pretend or hide anything with him. He has seen you at your worst, but he still chooses to stick around. Because some bonds are forever. :)
